The WhatsApp Business Platform is managed through Meta — this is the most bureaucratic of all 11 channels, but also the highest-reach one.
Preparing on Meta's side
- Create or verify a Meta Business Manager account — you'll need the company's legal name, a working email, and a website domain
- Go through business verification — you'll need company registration documents and a supporting document/bill showing the address; it takes 2–7 business days
- Register a dedicated phone number for the bot — it must not already be active on the regular WhatsApp app (a landline works too, as long as it can receive an SMS/voice code)
- Prepare outbound message templates — Meta requires them to be pre-approved for any mass sending
Connecting in TvoyBot
- "Create a bot" → WhatsApp → the manual route
- Click "Login via Facebook for business" and authorize with an account that has access to the Meta Business Manager
- Pick the business account and the linked WhatsApp number
Important: starting in 2026, Meta requires an AI bot to solve a "specific business task" (answering questions, booking, consultation) — an open-ended, goalless chat "about anything" is no longer allowed under WhatsApp policy.
